The SACMA winners for 2026 were Stefanie Bragg, Joe Brackley and Victoria Groom
Stefanie Bragg
Stefanie is a project controls apprentice based in Blackburn. In November 2024, following more amazing feedback from the Client and her training provider, Stef was recognised as the ‘Project Controls Apprentice of the Year’ at the prestigious ‘Project Controls Expo’ industry awards. In 2025, Stef became a mum and attended the graduation ceremony for her Degree in Project Controls (1st Class Honours).
Joe Brackley
Joe is a senior General Foreperson on the Anglian Water Reservoirs Programme. Joe joined Costain in 2015 as a Senior Foreperson and has seized every opportunity presented for both on-the-job and off-the-job training. This included the Front-Line Supervisors development community finding mentors whom he continues to learn from today. Providing hands-on, practical, and visual learning suited Joe and enabled him to excel. Joe is returning Costain’s investment in him with interest.
Victoria Groom
Victoria is a Strategy Implementation Manager within the Natural Resources Division and is a member of the 21Club, having worked for Costain for nearly 20 years and enjoyed varying roles within the business. She commenced her current role during a very challenging time, due to a divisional reorganisation and the demands of her role as a member of the Emerging Leaders Programme. Victoria ‘grasped the nettle’ and threw herself into the challenge and was able to balance all her commitments and achieve her deliverables with great success.
