The SACMA winners for 2025 were Callum Davis, Charlotte Dickinson and Sara Brady.
Callum Davis - Senior Engineer
Callum joined the Company in 2018 as an apprentice civil engineer on the Thames Tideway Project and is now a Senior Engineer on the A40 Westway TfL Project. The judges were impressed at the way that he has continued his personal development, has achieved Incorporated Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers, and is now supporting other apprentices in their development.
Charlotte Dickinson - Tunnelling Agent
The judges noted that Charlotte demonstrated both an outstanding technical ability, which had been gained through a combination of both formal and on-the-job training, and a commitment to learning and mentorship. Her ability to lead innovative change and a desire to share knowledge through industry forums showed that she exhibited the values of the Award.
Sara Brady- Employee Experience Manager
Sara has been with the Company for over 18 years and during that time has had a variety of roles, however she recently re-trained and gained a qualification in Internal Communications while at the same time taking on a challenging role in which she led the communications for the HR Transformation Programme. This was the largest system implementation ever undertaken by Costain and included the launch of the new ‘MyHR’ system. The judges felt that Sara demonstrated how training can lead to positive career changes and that the skills that Sara gained from her earlier years as a community relations manager, could be used to such good effect in the People Team.
